Product Description:

SJEOOW Portable Cord 300V is a service cord rated at 300 volts.  The cable employs your choice of 2, 3, or 4 bare flexible stranded Class K copper conductors.  Class K copper is a classification for rope lay and bunch stranded copper wires.  Class K copper offers superior flexibility combined with the power conductive properties of copper metal.  The conductors are insulated with color-coded TPE insulation.  TPE insulation is also known as Thermoplastic Elastomer; a synthetic rubber-like material that is resistant to heat, oil, and moisture.  Each individual conductor bears its own TPE insulation.  The conductors are cabled together with non-wicking polypropylene fillers and separated by a tissue-paper separator so that they can be easily removed from the jacket.  The cable includes a TPE exterior jacket that contains the insulated conductors.   Altogether, this cable offers exceptional flexibility and tensile strength.

Applications: 

Type SJEOOW Portable Cords can be used in dry locations in temperatures between -50°C and 105°C.  The cable can be submerged in water and function in wet locations as well.  In wet locations, the cable can functions at temperatures up to 60°C.  With a high tolerance for harsh weather, this cable can be used in almost every part of the world.  SJEOOW is often found in wiring for various large appliances such as industrial machinery and washing machines.  Because of its high resistance to oil, it is used for motors, heavy-duty tools, and lighting and electrical power applications at construction sites.  It can be used on ships, shipyards, oil rigs, and other offshore structures because of its ability to perform when completely immersed in water. 

Specifications: 

• In accordance with specifications set forth by Underwriters Laboratories, the cable aligns with UL standard 62, a specification that sets expectations for flexible service cord.
• The cable meets Federal Specification J-C-580B, a federal standard for flexible service cord.
• This cable is OSHA acceptable. 
• The SEOOW Portable Cord also meets National Electric Code Artile 400, a specification for flexible service cord.

Construction: 

-                  Conductors

• The SJEOOW Portable Cord employs Class K copper conductors.
• The cable is available in constructions including 2,3, or 4 insulated conductors. 

-                  Insulation

• The conductors are insulated with thermoplastic elastomers (TPE).
• TPE is a synthetic rubber material that is resistant to abrasion, ozone, sunlight, oils, and chemicals.  

-                  Jacket

• The cable bears a TPE external jacket which serves as the first line of defense against corrosion and abrasion.
• The thermoplastic elastomer jacket adds exceptional tensile strength to the overall assembly.
