Product Description:
• The SOOW Portable Cord 600V Yellow Jacket is a portable service cord that is designed for flexibility and durability.  This service cord is a cord with a voltage rating of 600 volts.  The SOOW cord features bare annealed bunch-stranded copper conductors that align with UL-62.  The combination of annealed copper and the bunch-stranded wire construction create an exceptionally flexible and maneuverable conductor.  The conductors are individually insulated with ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber; a tough but flexible material that protects the conductors from abrasion as well as corrosion due to sunlight, oil, and water.  The insulation is color-coded so that the conductors can be identified.  A paper tape that is applied between each conductor makes removing the conductors from the jacket much easier. Round fillers are included in the assembly to keep the conductors from shifting within the jacket.  The yellow external jacket of the cable is made of EPDM rubber, and like the insulation, is resistant to abrasion and corrosion.

Applications:
• The SOOW Portable Cord 600V Yellow Jacket is approved for 600 volts and can be used in wet or dry locations.  The cable can operate when fully immersed in water, making it a preferred cable for use on ships, shipyards and dockside power applications, offshore drilling rigs, and other offshore structures.   The SOOW cable has a temperature rating of -40°C to 90°C.  Its flexibility, tensile strength, and resistance to oil makes it a great option for use on portable power tools, portable appliances, construction equipment, cranes and hoists, track systems, motors, and other machinery.  Underwriters Laboratories and Canadian Standards Association list this product as suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

Specifications:
• In accordance with specifications set forth by Underwriters Laboratories, the cable aligns with UL standard 62, a specification that sets expectations for flexible service cord.
• The cable meets federal specification J-C-580B, a federal standard for flexible service cord.
• This cable is OSHA acceptable.
• The SOOW Multi-Conductor cord also meets National Electric Code Article 400, a specification for flexible service cord.
• The cable passes VW-1 and FT2 Flame Tests.

Construction:

Conductors
• The SOOW cord features bare annealed bunch-stranded copper conductors.

Insulation
