Product Description:

SJOOW Portable Cord 300V with Yellow Jacket, like the standard SJOOW Portable Cord, is a junior service cord that can transit voltages up to 300 volts.  However, the Yellow Jacketed SJOOW Portable Cord 300V offers superior flexibility over its standard SJOOW cousin.  The cable employs your choice of 2, 3, or 4 bare flexible stranded Class K copper conductors.  Class K copper is a classification for rope lay and bunch stranded copper wires.  Class K copper offers superior flexibility combined with the power conductive properties of copper metal.  The conductors are insulated with color-coded ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber.  This rubber is similar to the TPE insulation used in the standard SJOOW Portable Cord, only with added flexibility.  The conductors are cabled together with non-wicking polypropylene fillers and separated by a tissue-paper separator so that they can be easily removed from the jacket.  The cable includes a yellow EPDM jacket that protects the conductors from abrasion, high heat, ozone, and water.

Applications:

This cable can be used in dry locations in temperatures between -40°C and 90°C.  The cable can be submerged in water and function in wet locations.  In wet locations, the cable can function at temperatures up to 60°C.  With a high tolerance for harsh weather, this cable can be used in almost every region of the world.  SJOOW is often found in wiring for various large appliances such as industrial machinery and washing machines.  Because of its high resistance to oil, it is used for motors, heavy-duty tools, and lighting and electrical power applications at construction sites.  It can be used on ships, shipyards, oil rigs, and other offshore structures because of its ability to perform when completely immersed in water.  The SJOOW Portable Cord 300V Yellow Jacket is preferred when maximum flexibility is needed.

Specifications: 

• In accordance with specifications set forth by Underwriters Laboratories, the cable aligns with UL standard 62, a specification that sets expectations for flexible service cord.
• SJOOW Portable Cord aligns with CSA specification C22.2-49 for flexible cord.
• This cable is OSHA acceptable.
• The cable complies with Restrictions of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive.

Construction: 

-                  Conductors

• The SJOOW Portable Cord employs Class K copper conductors.
• The cable is available in constructions including 2,3, or 4 insulated conductors. 

-                  Insulation

• The conductors are insulated with ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM).
• EPDM is a flexible rubber that is resistant to abrasion, ozone, sunlight, oil, and chemicals. 
• Each conductor is individually insulated and color-coded for identification. 

-                  Jacket

• The cable includes a yellow ethylene propylene diene monomer jacket which serves as the first line of defense against corrosion and abrasion.
• The EPDM jacket adds tensile strength and flexibility to the assembly.
